STORY

When I was younger I loved helping my mom cook when I came home from school. One day she was baking a cake and I was helping do a couple things. One of my jobs was to read the recipe. I was only 6 years old so I was not the best person to be in charge of all the reading but my mom was trying to make my feel like a big part of the experience. I remember the recipes like it happened yesterday. The recipe required to mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. So I told her to mix 1 cup flour, 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup of salt into a separate bowl. We did all we had to do. The cake was put in the oven for about 1 1/2 hours. Everything looked okay until I took a bite of the angel food cake. It was too salty. The recipe required 1/4 teaspoon but I told my mom to mix 1/4 cup of salt. That was the last time I was ever in charge of reading the recipe. Everyone makes mistakes.
